The Girl has a Mind of Her Own!

Yesterday we went to the beach.  We met up with my family for a big Family Night at the Beach.  The tricky part was Evan and Max had to go to soccer practice first.  So while we were getting ready for the beach Max was getting ready for soccer.  After seeing Max wearing shin guards Piper decided she too must have some.  So she put some on and insisted wearing them to the beach.  She wore them for the first hour at the beach until she finally wanted to get in the water.  
Here is the look when I asked if she wanted to take the shin guards off.

The competition:  To grab the fabric hanging from the calf.  Gracie was so close!
Here is the line up on the division for the 8yr olds and higher.  Surprisingly enough the 6 foot 7inches tall guy won.  We are so proud of you JD.  But what JD didn't know at the time was that you really didn't want to touch that fabric hanging from the back end of that calf.  



And yes, there was dancing too.  Brandon shows us how to shake it up.

Just for the record.  Anne got up on her first try ever wake boarding.  And then on the second time she made it outside the wake.  Yes, she is amazing.
